Stirlingfauld Place, Laurieston, Glasgow

The high rise flats at 40 and 45 Stirlingfauld Place consisted of two tower block. 40 and 45 Stirlingfauld Place were 24 storey tower blocks and were part of Phase 2B of the Comprehensive Development Area scheme in 1973. Construction on the 69m tall building was carried out by Crudens. The building contained 276 flats and it was completed in 1975.

Both blocks were derelict by 2007 and preparation for demolition took place during 2007/08. The buildings were blown up at 9.45am on Sunday 1 June 2008 as part of phase 2 of Laurieston’s regeneration.
