Old Stag Inn, 12 Greenview Street, Pollokshaws, Glasgow

Located in what is known as The Stag Building (Architect Thomas Baird 18-62 – 1953), The Old Stag pub was first listed in the Glasgow Post Office Directory of 1889-90.  The licencee at this time was Mr John Lyns, who took over the license from D McCafferty between 1886 and 1888.  The Stag Building was erected in 1905 by John Lyons to include housing and shops.  Original shops were Carmichaels Chemist and Dougie’s Dairy.
